Simple card using embossed card strip, a scallop edge die cut and a pre cut gingham circle.

White on White Birthday Card

Using Sue Wilson Lattice Arched Adornment, Spellbinders Tag and I can't remember the other one. Also Die'sire Happy Birthday.

And now that I've seen the photo I've realised I posted it without finishing it off with it's final adornments. That's what you get for leaving it til last minute. Doh!

Blackbird Birthday Card

Needed to make a male birthday card and have been inspired by the dawn chorus and all the blackbird families we have had visiting the garden.

Found the stamp in a charity shop so I'm not sure that it is of a blackbird but it seemed to suit. It may well become a robin at christmas. Lol.

Bird Textile Card for Fathers Day

Used Accuquilt Birds die and cut the extra bits by hand.

Cut the branch freehand and the leaves were cut with a thin metal die.

The nest was made up of wool, bits of fabric and raffia sewn together with free motion stitching between water dissolvable film.

Next time though I would use my needle felting embellishing machine to form the nest directly onto the background for a more natural looser look.

Dumbo Quilt & Dumbo Card

Quilt panel wadded, backed and quilted in the obvious places. Going round the words was very sloooooooooooow going!

Tried the flange binding method on this quilt as I hate hand sewing. Having said that it really doesn't look as neat as I'd like on the back and as much as I hate hand sewing I think I'll go back to the old method.

Also made a card to match.

Leaving Card

A card for a lovely couple off on a sabbatical for a year touring Australia.

Made by using Wordart (which used to be Tagul) and added some embellishments. The clock is set to 9.45pm as that is the time of their flight
departing the UK for a great big adventure!

Birthday Card

Another of the charity shop blanks with die cut and gems.

And further to my last post, the cards did come with envelopes; I'd just forgotten! Still, after finding milk in the cupboard, sunglasses in the fridge etc, I should have known better. Lol.

Just A Note......

in this case to say happy birthday!

I found these card blanks in the charity shop just around the corner from me.

Now they are not normally my cup of tea but seeing as though all my mojo has been missing without a trace for quite some time and they were only 50p I couldn't resist.

Turns out though that they are a particularly odd size and I can't find any corresponding envelopes anywhere. Think they may be going back to the charity shop. ☺☺☺
